Course Description:
The focus of this workshop is to provide educators with the tools and strategies they need to improve math performance and AYP for students with learning disabilities in grades 3 - 8.
Special Topics:
How children learn mathematics – concepts, skills, and procedures
The causes and nature of learning problems in mathematics
How to develop a math intervention plan
Learning effective instructional approaches to teach the key developmental milestones such as: place value, fractions, integers, algebraic thinking and spatial sense.
About the Instructor
